Short version

We process only two things about you: your email address (only if you request a free trial or buy a license) and your license key status. Everything else — messages, recipients, sessions, media, statistics — never leaves your computer. We don't sell data, don't run tracking scripts in the app, and don't have access to your Telegram accounts.

1 Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Telegram AutoPoster Pro ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you:

  • visit our website tgautoposter.com;
  • download and install the Telegram AutoPoster Pro desktop application;
  • request a free trial license key;
  • purchase and activate a paid subscription;
  • contact our support via email or Telegram.

By using the software or the website, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2 Who we are

Telegram AutoPoster Pro is an independent software project developed by a solo developer (referred to below as "the Developer" or "we"). The Developer is the data controller for the limited data described in this policy.

We are not a company and are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer. All data protection questions are handled directly by the Developer.

3 What we collect

We collect the absolute minimum necessary to license the software and to send you a trial key. Everything else stays on your device.

3.1 Email address

We receive and process your email address when:

  • you request a 3-day free trial key through our website form;
  • you purchase a paid license (Standard, Enterprise, or Supporter);
  • you write to our support email or open a support ticket.

We use this email only to deliver your license key, to provide support, and — if you explicitly opt in on the trial form — to send occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

3.2 License key and activation status

When you activate a license, the application contacts our license server (tgautoposter.com/api/activate_v2.php and /api/verify_v2.php). The server receives:

  • your license key;
  • basic technical information required to respond to the request (IP address, HTTP User-Agent — this is standard for any web request);
  • the app version.

The server does not receive your Telegram messages, sessions, recipients, media files, analytics data, or any other content of the application.

3.3 Update checks

Periodically the app asks our update server (tgautoposter.com/api/version.php) whether a newer version is available. This request transmits only the current app version and a language code. It does not contain any personal data.

3.4 What we do NOT collect

We never receive

Your Telegram messages · your contacts · your recipient lists · your media · your sessions · your proxies · your analytics · your account credentials · your Telegram API hash · any telemetry · any crash reports.

4 What stays on your device

The application is a local-first desktop program. All of the following is stored exclusively on your computer and is never transmitted to us:

Telegram sessionsdata/sessions/*.session — encrypted Telegram session files
Application databasedata/autoposter.db — recipients, groups, ads, chains, campaigns, templates, statistics
Message contentStored only in the local database on your device
Recipient listsGroups, channels, contacts — local only
StatisticsSQLite database, local only
Logsdata/logs/app.log, local only
Configdata/config.json, local only
Backup archivesZIP files created and stored at your explicit action

You have full control over this data. You can delete, move, or back it up at any time. See the Data & folders section in our guide for details.

5 How we use your information

We use the limited data we collect for the following purposes:

  • Delivering your license key — the email you provide is used to send the trial key or the paid subscription key.
  • Validating your license — the license server checks whether the key is valid, expired, or revoked.
  • Customer support — if you write to us, we use your email or Telegram handle to reply.
  • Product updates (optional) — only if you explicitly subscribe on the trial form.
  • Abuse prevention — the license server may temporarily log IP addresses to prevent key abuse (rate limiting, trial farming). Logs are rotated and deleted within 90 days.

6 Legal bases (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the UK, we process your data under the following legal bases:

ContractProcessing your email and license key is necessary to deliver the software you requested or purchased.
Legitimate interestAbuse prevention, security, and licensing enforcement — proportionate to your privacy.
ConsentMarketing emails (only if you opted in on the trial form). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Legal obligationIf we are required by law to retain certain information.

7 Sharing your data

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share it only with the following categories of service providers, and only as strictly necessary:

Email providerDelivers your license key and support emails. Receives your email address.
Web hosting / license serverHosts the API that validates your license. Receives your license key and IP address (as part of normal HTTP).
Payment processorFor cryptocurrency payments we do not use a custodial processor — you send crypto directly to us. For future card payments we will use a reputable PCI-compliant processor (updated policy will follow).
Legal requirementsWe may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services on our website or in our app.

8 International transfers

Our servers are hosted by reputable providers, potentially outside your country of residence. When data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable measures (including the use of standard contractual clauses with our providers where applicable) to protect your data.

The bulk of your data — sessions, messages, recipients, analytics — is never transferred at all, because it never leaves your computer.

9 Data retention

Email addressKept as long as needed to provide support, deliver keys, and comply with legal obligations. If you unsubscribe, we remove you from the mailing list within 7 days.
License activation recordsKept for the lifetime of the license — required to prevent key abuse and to process renewals.
Server logs (IP address)Rotated and deleted automatically within 90 days.
Local application dataLives on your computer and is deleted only by you. We have no access to it.

10 Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — correct inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your email and license records.
  • Right to restriction — limit how we process your data.
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Right to withdraw consent — at any time, for any consent-based processing.
  • Right to lodge a complaint — with your local data protection authority (for EU/EEA residents) or with the UK ICO (for UK residents).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@tgautoposter.com. We respond to legitimate requests within 30 days.

Note about account deletion

Because we only hold your email and license key status, requesting deletion means we will remove those. Your local application data (sessions, database, logs) is on your own computer — to delete it, simply delete the data/ folder next to the app.

11 Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data we process:

  • TLS/HTTPS encryption for all communication between the app, website, and license server.
  • Minimal data collection — the less we hold, the less can be compromised.
  • Restricted access to server logs and support inboxes.
  • Regular updates and security fixes for our website and API.

No system is 100% secure. If you suspect a security issue, please contact us immediately at support@tgautoposter.com.

Your responsibility

Session files (data/sessions/*.session) and backup ZIP files that include sessions give full access to your Telegram accounts. Treat them like passwords. Never share them, and encrypt them when storing off-device.

12 Children's privacy

The software is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13 Website cookies

Our website (tgautoposter.com) uses only a minimal set of cookies and local storage entries:

  • Theme preference (local storage key tgap-theme) — stores your dark/light/system choice.
  • Language preference — where applicable.

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking scripts, or analytics cookies. The desktop application itself does not use cookies and does not track user activity.

14 Third-party services

Your use of Telegram through the application is governed by Telegram's own policies:

  • Telegram Privacy Policy
  • Telegram Terms of Service

When you authorize an account in the app, you log in directly to Telegram's servers using your own API credentials. We are not part of that connection. Telegram's own logging, retention, and security practices apply.

15 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will:

  • update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page;
  • for material changes, notify users via email (if we hold your address) or through the app's update channel.

Continued use of the software after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
